Answer: Yes, in fact Youth 15 and under are free. Youth 15 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult

Question: I have a CO2 powered pistol and want a range to shoot it at. DOes the Tucson Mountain Range accommodate for that? Are there otehr places that I can shoot my CO2 pistol? What about public lands nearby where I can shoot? Thanks!
Answer: You can not shoot it inside city limits. It’s the same regulations as firerms in that respect
Yes, Tucson Mountain Park does allow air rifles, nd it’s a great place to shoot them
Most ranges in town will allow air rifles too
Dogs at the range

Question: Can I bring my dog to the range so he learns to deal with gun fire?
Answer: Shooters bring a variety of extremely loud, large caliber firearms. I would ask you not to expose your hunting dog to the sound levels at our facility. We require all shooters and observers to use hearing and eye protection. I think there may be other training techniques that would other better training for hunting dogs.

Answer: There are a few options available, Scouts, 4H the county, and AZ Game and Fish.

In addition to monitoring safety and assisting shooters, our volunteers assist our staff with day to day tasks. For their hard work, we provide free range use after 10 hours monthly service. Question: How Can I Volunteer for projects on public lands?
Answer: Throughout the year volunteer opportunities may be available on federal, state and local public lands, either hosted by agencies or by partner groups. One opportunity is National Public Lands Day, hosted by the BLM and Forest Service each year in September in different areas. This is a day set aside for volunteer activities and projects. Check the BLM and Forest Service websites for dates and details.

Is it possible if I will just rent a pistol in your shooting range and practice shooting?

Question: I am interested to practice practical shooting in the shooting range, however, I don’t own a pistol right now. Is it possible if I will just rent a pistol in your shooting range and practice shooting? Thanks.
Answer: Not at the county range, for liability reasons they do not rent guns. One of the indoor ranges in town, Marksman does have some guns for rent you might give them a try.

SERP yearly range fees, does it exist?

Question: Can you buy a year pass to the shooting range? Also, my live in b/f is a supervisor with Pima county can he shoot for free or get a discount since he is a county employee?
Answer: Yes there is a multi-visit pass (punch card) you can buy many visits VERY cheap, ask for details at the range
Sorry no other discounts for County Employees, military, LEO, senior citizens, etc
Some kids do get in cheaper however !!
Shotgun area

Question: When will the Shotgun area be ready at SERP?
Answer: I cannot say precisely when the clay target center will be completed; I can however tell you that we are beginning the design phase of Phase 2 of the facility. After design we will have to go to engineering and procurement prior to construction.
I would guess at 11/2 to 2 years for Phase 2 completion.
